Refund Policy

Last updated: June 18, 2026

This Refund Policy explains how refunds and cancellations work for the SwiftCull desktop application ("Software"), provided by Shadeholt ("we", "us", "our"), a company based in France. All purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle"), our Merchant of Record. This policy forms part of, and should be read together with, our Terms of Service.

1. Try Before You Buy

SwiftCull includes a 14-day free trial with full access to all features. No payment information is required to start the trial. We strongly encourage you to use the trial to confirm that SwiftCull fits your workflow and runs well on your machine before purchasing a license.

2. All Sales Are Final

Because SwiftCull includes a fully-featured 14-day free trial with no payment required, you can confirm that it meets your needs and runs well on your machine before you buy. For this reason, all purchases are final and we do not offer refunds once a license has been purchased. This applies to all plans — Monthly subscription, Annual subscription, and Lifetime license.

The following exceptions always apply:

  • Your statutory consumer rights are unaffected. Nothing in this policy limits the mandatory rights you have under the laws of France, the European Union, or your country of residence (see Section 6).
  • Paddle's discretion. As our Merchant of Record, Paddle may issue a refund at its own discretion — for example for a duplicate or erroneous charge, or suspected fraud — independently of this policy.
  • Unresolved technical issues. If a technical problem on our side prevents you from using SwiftCull and we are unable to resolve it, contact us and we will make it right.

3. Billing Questions & Exceptional Refunds

If you believe one of the exceptions in Section 2 applies, or you have any question about your billing, you can reach us in either of two ways:

  • Email us at [email protected] with the email address used at checkout and your Paddle order or receipt number (included in your purchase confirmation email).
  • Use the Paddle customer portal at customer-portal.paddle.com, where you can manage your purchase and contact billing support.

If a refund is approved under one of those exceptions, it is issued by Paddle to your original payment method and usually completes within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank or payment provider.

4. Subscription Cancellations

You may cancel a subscription at any time through the Paddle customer portal.

  • Cancelling stops all future renewals — you will not be charged again.
  • Your access continues until the end of the current billing period you have already paid for.
  • We do not issue partial refunds for unused time within a billing period.

5. If a Refund Is Issued

In any case where a refund is issued (see Sections 2 and 3), your license is revoked and you must stop using and uninstall the Software from all machines. SwiftCull processes your photos entirely on your own computer and never uploads them, so no personal photo data is held by us to delete.

6. Your Statutory Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy limits or removes any rights you have as a consumer under the mandatory laws of France, the European Union, or your country of residence — including any applicable statutory right of withdrawal for digital content. Our 14-day free trial is offered in addition to those rights, so you can evaluate SwiftCull fully before any purchase.

For EU consumers, you may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
